Hot Air Balloon

So this morning my two roommates and I headed up to Lundstrom park hoping to get to ride in a hot air balloon. Well due to some set backs we didn't get there in enough time to get our ride. We got there when they were giving the last ride. I had never been close to a hot air balloon before so I was a little bit curious when they started deflating it on how the whole process worked.

It seemed as though it was a family who owned the balloon and were running the show. It was so much fun to watch the family interact with one another. They all pitched in, knew what to do, and got the job done quite fast.

I couldn't help but think of the many times my family have done many jobs, or any other family outing. My dad gives us the game plan and then we execute it perfectly. We also have a couple laughs during the process.

My favorite part of watching them fold the balloon up was when they got it all in the big bag and the family all took a seat on the bag to force the air out. While sitting on the bag the youngest girl said "so what story are you going to tell us this time dad." I could tell this is one thing their family can enjoy doing together, just like all the family jobs for my family.

Sorry you didn't get a ride but your family comparison and observation was quite amusing.

I was going to go ride in the hot air balloon too, but didn't make it up there. Nice story though -- always fun to read what you write! hope you're having fun with my sisters.
