"IDK my BBF Chelsey"

Thinking we are pretty hot stuff, going to John Michael Montgomery Concert
So this past weekend Chelsey Parkin got dropped off in Brigham City to come visit me in Logan. After I picked her up in BC we hurried back to Logan to get our nails done. Something her and I both love to get done, which is strange because we both don't really seem like the nail type. After that we had a night of just hanging out, and shopping. It was a good weekend for both of us to catch up. We both needed some Tameka/Chelsey time.

When we skipped school and got into Snoasis

So here are some facts about Chelsey and I in no particular order:
  • We became friends in 6th grade.
  • We both sat the bench with each other in volleyball
  • Chelsey became my families adopted sister because she spent the night at our house so much
  • Chelsey taught me how to snowboard, and I taught her how to wakeboard
  • We were the boys basketball team STAT girls soph. year
  • The boys on the varsity team called us the "twins" and even to this day they still call us that.
  • We have never been able to lie to each other, (she was terrible hiding my surprise party.)
  • We seemed to go through the same phases together, punk, normal, western. (Which is strange because you usually switch friends with your phases, not phases with your friend)
  • Our pictures were always next to each others in the yearbooks (Parish, Parkin) and so in 8th grade we wore the same shirt and did our hair the same.
  • Being from different religions never was a problem with our friendship.
  • She is the only person that can tell me that I was having a bad hair day, or that my outfit doesn't work, who I will take her word for it. And not get offended
  • My dad is as protective over Chelsey as he is his other daughters, maybe even more.
  • We are complete opposites, but at the same time exactly the same.
  • We got our first pair of boots within a month of each other, and we actually didn't plan it
  • Were there for each other through every bad grade/fight with our parents/and all the boy drama.
  • Through our first year of college we talked on the phone at least once a week, and it wasn't even something we agreed to do. It just happened.
No we didn't plan the matching dresses, it just happened out that way (Homecoming 2005)
Chelsey and I have always been best friends we had our rough times, and I hope I have always been there for her when she needed me, and I know she is always there for me. Hopefully when we are old gray women we can still call ourselves best friends and giggle about all of our crazy memories.
