What was I thinkin'?

So Friday night was the big barn dance at Grouse Creek. I have been anticipating this event for some months now. The dance was a blast, they fed us hamburgers and chips and then the dancing began. We learned how to swing and do some fun dance moves. Braden and I were professionals and people actually asked us for help. Sad to say we did not win the swing contest though. Katelin had some of her and my friends go, Jacey, Riki, and Shay. A little side note Grouse Creek didn't have a cold winter so now they are being over ran with Mormon Crickets...the roads were covered in black huge hopping things. When we got home from the dance Bradens little brother, and friends (Melanie Garrard and Kolby Beck) wanted Braden and I to take them toilet papering. So we being cool older kids agreed. I personally was surprised Kolby and Melanie were both allowed to go. It was 12 o'clock and we had just dropped them off to their first house. The 15 mins. we were waiting both Braden and I were wondering what we were doing taking these 13 year olds TPing. We then decided to go to another house, which happened to be my favorite Mr. Silva's house. While the kids were taking care of their job, Braden and I walked around back to check out the golf course. Once the kids were done we all got in the truck to head home, but Braden decided they had all done a good job at TPing and that he needed to reward them with an ice cream treat.
On the way home we took the truck route and passed the charger that Sgt. Peggy drives. This got me excited. Braden wasn't trying to get pulled over but did not stop completely at the rail road tracks, so Peggy had to pull us over. Braden has quite a lengthy history of tickets so he asked if I would talk to Peggy and help him out. I actually did need to talk to Peggy about her drunk driving movies, but when she came to the window she didn't even look inside. So when she brought back the paper work she just handed it to him and turned to go back (and let Braden off), Braden told her that someone needed to talk to her. She shined her flashlight in the truck and saw me, shut off her flashlight and leaned inside the truck. We had a nice chat about the movies/what we were doing that night/her laughing at Braden's boots/and why she pulled us over (she said she knew I was in there and she just wanted to talk.) All the younger kids didn't know what was going on, and once she told us to have a great night all of us couldn't help but laugh. What a random thing. What were Braden and I thinking that night.

Sounds like a good time. I can't believe you took small children TPing (or that Melanie is old enough... last thing I knew she was about 4 and I was in Achievement Days...).

That's good that Peggy let Braden off, even before she knew you were in there. I'm glad you're in good with all the coppers.

Are you sure that wondering what you were doing taking young kids TPing was all you and Braden did during the 15 minutes while you were waiting?

Fun pictures. Were they all products of timers, or did you let people take them?
