the BIG red thing

So last night I had the privledge of going on a date with Owen Wadsworth. He is a boy from Oakley, I haven't talked to him very much but every time I do we have a good time. Last Saturday, Chase and I went the movies and met up with Owen, Tyrell, and Blake (all boys from Oakley) after the movie the boys were hungry so we decided since the only place open worth eating at is Burger King we would head on over there. Since Oakley boys don't like to do the normal things we decided to walk through the drive thru. The lady at the window always works at nights and Shayna and I have never seen her in a good mood. This night was no exception. She told us to come into the dining room and yelled at us there instead of through he window. We then went out to the parking lot and decided since she wouldn't let us walk though the drive thru, we would just BACK through it. Needless to say the mean lady at the window came storming out, and commanded us to leave. So we headed over to the nice people at Wendys.

Well since now that you know a little more about Owen. And that when someone tells him no he finds another way. Well no exception here, he called while I was in Utah and then by time I got home it was to late to call and then he called in the morning but I was in the shower. So after two tries he still hadn't been able to ask me out. So next thing I know he is walking into AMI to "buy some fast orange....smooth kind" I agreed to go out with him the next day. He wouldn't tell me what we were doing but he told me to wear some shoes I can run up a hill in. That got me thinking of what hill he was going to make me run up.

Well Wednesday night rolls around and he comes to pick me up. Wep being a good dad says that Owen needs to take extra care of me because of my heart murmur (doesn't that word look like a murmur, plus I don't even know how to spell it), and my ingrown toe nail. Owen tells him not to worry and that he will just carry me up the hill. On our way out to Spencer Stokers house he tells me that we are actually just riding four wheelers up to the "D".

We get to Spencers casa and get all ready with the 4-wheelers and head on our way up to the "D". On our way up there we passed the hang glider up on the hill get ready to take off. So me and Owen stop and ask if we could watch. After that we continued our journey up the hill. We then got up there and watched the sun set, and waited for the moon to rise (I always just thought the sun set and the moon rose at the same time, but they are actually like 15 min. off) While we were killing time Owen and I tried our skill at throwing rocks off the side of the mountain, and then journeyed down to the "D". While we were throwing painted rocks around we ended up getting in a good talk about drama queen Ed. Owen all of a sudden wanted to know where Ed lived, and if he saw Ed at the big Cassia County Fair and Rodeo (only 4 more days) he just might have to do something to him and I would just have to understand. Good ol' Owen. Just like a big brother.

After our talk it was time for the moon to be coming up so we went up to the top. Owen was checking out the surrounding mountains in his binoculars. In the process found a "BIG red thing" None of us could decide what it was so after the moon came up and it was now pretty dark Owen decided we needed to go figure out what it was. So we jumped on our 4-wheelers and ventured over there some of it on roads the other half just off roading it.

Spencer and his date didn't have 4 wheel and so they had some problems but we finally came upon the "BIG red thing". We still aren't sure what it is, except a BIG red piece of old machinery.

After we decided on what it was we headed back on our adventure to Spencers house. Once we got there the boys got a good idea and decided to start baking cookies at 11 o'clock. The cookies turned out great and then we headed home. It was an awesome date and it even was better to get home and brush my hair and wash my face. I love wind and dust!
