Yesterday at the 4th of July breakfast the two Pella wards celebrated Gene Geirishes 100th birthday, along with Independence Day. So for part of the program Brother Melvin Call was asked to tell about Gene. While he was reading things about Gene it started to remind me of my own father. Here is what Melvin said about Gene, lets see if it reminds anyone else of Warren.
"When something would break Melvins kids would tell him to just take it over to Gene's house because, Gene can fix anything. But of course when you go over to Genes house allow for extra time, because Gene can talk. He always has to tell you what he is doing and why he is doing that. He also does things right the first time, if he was teaching you how to do something, he just wouldn't teach you how to do that certain task. He would teach you how to clean and prepare to do that task."
Gene is a good guy, and so is my dad. So I guess they might have a little in common but I just hope Warren doesn't end up being exactly like Gene.

I hope Dad makes it to 100 though, because that would be cool! (Maybe Dad can work on using his inside voice now, so when his hearing goes, he won't be a yeller like Gene.)
