Welders Daughter

So today I had the privledge of going out to the shop and welding pincaps while mom set them up. I was doing alright, the welder was having some problems but other than that it was going well. Until I had a HUGE spark land on my foot. And since my welding footwear is just a sole of a shoe with one layer of duct tape over the top, the spark went through rather smoothly. I then felt a warm sizzling sensation on my big toe. So my first reaction was to start shaking my foot around in the air, which just caused the spark to roll around and burn my toe in several places. After mom laughed at me and I was calmed down from the shock of the whole situation. We found some duct tape and gave me a few more layers of protection. The worst part is it ruined my sock, even though my toe hurts, it is still able to heal, unlike my sock.

Oh-- the joys. I've had a few of those. I save the socks and think of the shop when I wear them. I got a spark in between my toes one time. Yowzers! Fun stuff sister!
